Welcome to the the therapy practice of Wendy Naiman, LMFT.
I graduated in 2001 from Antioch University Seattle with my MA in Couple and Family Therapy. Being a therapist is a second career for me. I worked in corporate American in sales, program management, project management and people management prior to graduate school. The turning point for me came when I began volunteering at the local crisis line. I loved the crisis intervention work that I was doing and wanted to move forward with preventative work so I went back to school for my masters. Besides being a therapist, I am also a daughter, a partner, a mom of an incredible human, a rescued Staffie, and an elderly Cornish Rex gentleman cat. I am a super fan of the Peloton tread (Matty, Kirsten, Andy and Rebecca are my faves). I love all things true crime so you will often find me listening to the latest podcast or watching ID. Though I am a Chicago native, I love the PNW because it allows me to be outside almost year round.
We can let life happen to us or we can make life happen. It is a choice that we get to make every day. As your therapist, my job is to help you get out from under the pressure, over the barriers, and through the stuckness, to get to your best self. I practice from a systemic approach which means that I work with the whole self of my client. Together we will explore what you want to cover in our sessions and I will also be looking at the roles that you play in life (child, partner, friend, parent, etc.) and how those roles impact your overall mental health. I am also attachment focused and love working with clients on their relationships, both past and present. I will inquire about your childhood, adolescence and adulthood and how your relationships throughout the years have impacted you and shaped how you see the world.
I have partnered with Mindful Therapy Group for scheduling and billing. To schedule an appointment online, click on the online form submission button below. You can also email evergrowingtherapy@gmail.com or call 253.254.6306.
